PACC Offshore Services Holdings Ltd (POSH) and Pacific Carriers Limited (PCL) have selected ABS Nautical Systems ® (NS) fleet management software to support their digitalization strategy.
Both PCL and POSH are part of Kuok Singapore Limited (KSL) Maritime Group of companies, with competencies extending across offshore marine services, commercial shipping and marine engineering. Both POSH and PCL operate a combined fleet of 245 vessels including tankers, bulkers as well as offshore support vessels.
The deal is for multiple NS modules to support the digitalization of workflows including fleet maintenance, purchasing and compliance.

Offshore marine services provider PACC Offshore Services Holdings Ltd. (“POSH”) today announced that its POSH Arcadia semi-submersible accommodation vessel (“SSAV”) has won a contract from Sabah Shell Petroleum Co Ltd. (“Shell Sabah”) to support its work at the Shell Gumusut Kakap field, offshore Malaysia.
Under the charter, POSH Arcadia will not only provide accommodation support but also support light construction activity at the field, which is a first for the vessel. The job started today and carries an extension option that can be triggered nearer to completion.
This contract, also the first with Shell Sabah, marked the latest in a line of projects POSH has secured with Shell. Previously, POSH Arcadia had provided accommodation support for the Shell Prelude – the world’s largest offshore floating facility.
As high capacity and high specification 750-pax DP3 vessels, POSH Arcadia and its sister POSH Xanadu are among the world’s largest SSAVs. They were designed and built to offer best-in-class safety and comfort for offshore crew operating in deep water and harsh environments, with additional capabilities to support complementary service requirements by the client.

In April 2019, POSH Kerry Renewables ("POSH Kerry") was invited to partner the Metal Industries Research & Development Centre ("MIRDC") to train local maritime talents in areas covering Dynamic Positioning ("DP") training, at Taiwan's first specialised Maritime Training Centre.
The company signed a Memorandum of Understanding ("MoU") with MIRDC - an agency under the umbrella of Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs - to join leading maritime companies Maersk Training and DNV GL to develop professional courses across various specialties. These courses will uplift Taiwan's maritime capabilities by developing local expertise for both onshore and offshore talent.
The maritime training centre is scheduled for completion in 2020 and will be located within the vicinity of Shin Da Harbour in Kaohsiung.
Mr Kelvin Teo, Managing Director, POSH Kerry, said, "We are excited to contribute towards the establishment of Taiwan's first specialised Maritime Training Centre, especially in the area of DP training. As a Taiwan-based integrated solutions provider, POSH Kerry is able to lend its expertise to develop DP training curriculum that are accredited by The Nautical Institute. Commissioned by Per Aarsleff, POSH Daring helped to create an air bubble “curtain” through hoses on the seabed. This dampens construction noise, thereby reducing the impact on surrounding marine life.

In March 2019, our POSH harbour tugs towed the Noble Joe Knight jackup rig from our sister company PaxOcean’s Graha shipyard in Batam to the Sembcorp Marine Integrated yard in Singapore. The Noble Joe Knight is the second jackup rig Noble purchased from PaxOcean.
