PACC Offshore Services Holdings (POSH), a leading specialist in offshore marine solutions, announces successfully completing the transoceanic tow of the Agogo Floating Production Storage and Offloading (Agogo FPSO) to Angola. The Agogo FPSO is the latest fleet of Yinson Production and will be operated in Block 15/06 offshore Angola for Azule Energy. POSH’s high-performance anchor handling towing vessels (AHT) – POSH Eagle, POSH Hawk, and POSH Osprey were instrumental in relocating the Agogo FPSO from China to Angola.
Measuring approximately 330 metres in length and weighing over 300,000 metric tonnes, the massive unit was towed for more than 10.000 nautical miles to the offshore Agogo. The extensive voyage underscores the exceptional strength, endurance, and reliability of POSH’s ocean towing fleet. The AHTs navigated challenging sea and weather conditions in convoy to safely deliver the FPSO to its final offshore location. Notably, the Agogo FPSO is the first in the industry to feature a post-combustion carbon capture pilot system.
POSH’s fleet continued to provide station-keeping services to ensure the Agogo FPSO maintains its precise position and heading during the critical phases. POSH Eagle, POSH Hawk, and POSH Osprey will remain on standby, ready to provide dynamic positioning assistance and contingency towing if required. This phase is crucial for the Agogo FPSO’s safe and efficient integration into the field’s production infrastructure.
“This milestone demonstrates our proven expertise in managing complex, long-haul towing operations across different regions,” said Eric Ng, Head of Offshore Projects, POSH. “With our well-equipped vessels and experienced crew, we consistently provide our clients with robust and dependable offshore logistics solutions.”
POSH’s role in the Agogo FPSO tow reinforces its standing as a trusted offshore marine partner, building on a track record spanning over 70 years. POSH offers a comprehensive suite of offshore support services, including ocean towage, offshore construction and installation, subsea services, serving clients across the energy and marine industries.
