SINGAPORE, 11 SEPTEMBER 2019 – Offshore marine services provider PACC Offshore Services Holdings Ltd. (“POSH”) and asset management company Ocean Challenger Pte. Ltd. (“Ocean Challenger”) have entered into a ship management agreement for semi- submersible crane vessel (SSCV) CIMC Gretha, as part of a strategic partnership.

Ocean Challenger is the offshore assets management company of the CIMC Group and its CIMC Raffles subsidiary. Ocean Challenger is in charge of management of the Group’s offshore assets.
Mr Ulva Chai, Director of Offshore Accommodation, POSH, said, “The addition of CIMC Gretha enhances POSH’s portfolio to provide our clients with diversified service offerings. Offshore marine services provider PACC Offshore Services Holdings Ltd. (“POSH”) today announced that its POSH Arcadia semi-submersible accommodation vessel (“SSAV”) has won a contract from Sabah Shell Petroleum Co Ltd. (“Shell Sabah”) to support its work at the Shell Gumusut Kakap field, offshore Malaysia.
Under the charter, POSH Arcadia will not only provide accommodation support but also support light construction activity at the field, which is a first for the vessel. The job started today and carries an extension option that can be triggered nearer to completion.
This contract, also the first with Shell Sabah, marked the latest in a line of projects POSH has secured with Shell. Previously, POSH Arcadia had provided accommodation support for the Shell Prelude – the world’s largest offshore floating facility.
As high capacity and high specification 750-pax DP3 vessels, POSH Arcadia and its sister POSH Xanadu are among the world’s largest SSAVs. They were designed and built to offer best-in-class safety and comfort for offshore crew operating in deep water and harsh environments, with additional capabilities to support complementary service requirements by the client.
Lee Keng Lin, Chief Executive Officer, POSH said, “We are delighted to have secured this contract from the Shell Group, which marks many firsts for us. This is our maiden light construction activity contract, our first charter with Shell Sabah, the first time POSH Arcadia is working in Malaysia and the first time the vessel is doubling up to provide both accommodation and light construction support. This vindicates our strategy to provide best-in-class service and adapting our offerings to respond to our clients’ bespoke needs.”

About PACC Offshore Services Holdings (“POSH”)
Headquartered in Singapore and listed on the Singapore Exchange, POSH is a leading offshore marine services provider with more than 60 years of operating experience in offshore and marine oilfield services. With a young and diverse fleet of over 100 offshore vessels, POSH is known as a best-in-class service provider serving multiple segments of the offshore energy value chain and readily transferable expertise for the offshore wind sector.
POSH Hardy and POSH Husky arrived in the Port of Colombo, Sri Lanka - one of the region's busiest ports - in late 2018. Since then, the two tugs have been on long-term charters to Sri Lanka Shipping, providing a range of harbour services including berthing, un-berthing, towing, and assisting duties.
To support the knowledge transfer to local crew, our Tug Masters and Engineers worked closely with our Sri Lankan counterparts, providing hands-on support and training for close to a month. Areas of training included Azimuth Stern Drive ("ASD") propulsion, navigational safety, and manoeuvring techniques during towage, escort, berthing and un-berthing.
The job followed a successful charter at Chittagong, Bangladesh, where POSH Hardy was commissioned to provide offshore support, as well as towing and assist duties at the Moheshkhali LNG Terminal, marking our first charter for offshore LNG terminal support. Together with two other tugs, POSH Hardy executed a Ship-To-Ship transfer for a Floating Storage Regasification Unit ("FSRU").
The aforementioned are amongst the several long-term charters POSH has secured of late for our harbour tugs, for operations in key ports in Asia, Middle East and Africa. In the coming year, we will continue to expand our geographical footprint in key growth markets in order to better serve our clients.
In April 2019, POSH Kerry Renewables ("POSH Kerry") was invited to partner with the Metal Industries Research & Development Centre ("MIRDC") to train local maritime talents in areas covering Dynamic Positioning ("DP") training, at Taiwan's first specialised Maritime Training Centre.
The company signed a Memorandum of Understanding ("MoU") with MIRDC - an agency under the umbrella of Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs - to join leading maritime companies Maersk Training and DNV GL to develop professional courses across various specialities. These courses will uplift Taiwan's maritime capabilities by developing local expertise for both onshore and offshore talent.
The maritime training centre is scheduled for completion in 2020 and will be located within the vicinity of Shin Da Harbour in Kaohsiung.
Mr Kelvin Teo, Managing Director, POSH Kerry, said, "We are excited to contribute towards the establishment of Taiwan's first specialised Maritime Training Centre, especially in the area of DP training. In sharing our expertise and providing on-the-job training onboard our large fleet of DP offshore vessels, POSH Kerry will do its part in cultivating a pipeline of local talent who can anchor the government's plans to advance its offshore renewable energy and marine industries."
As a Taiwan-based integrated solutions provider, POSH Kerry is able to lend its expertise to develop DP training curriculum that are accredited by The Nautical Institute. The company will provide trainers for these courses, as well as offer attachment opportunities for trainees to serve as DP operators on our vessels. The partnership with MIRDC reaffirms POSH Kerry's commitment to supporting the offshore renewable energy and maritime development goals for Taiwan.
